Dreams Journal Entry
You live in a small clean apartment in a big crazy city. Everyday you wake up to make yourself a cup of coffee. You sip on your coffee as if your body was in a drought. You look up to see the clock, realizing you’re already running late. You grab your coffee, some papers and your bag and run out the door. You hear the big city sirens down the street sounding like a child screaming for its mom. You catch a small little yellow taxi to your big busy office. You walk in right on time and get straight to work on your newest project.
A lot of people grow up wanting to be a veterinarian or a teacher. Well ever since I was little I wanted to be a fashion designer or model. Fashion is always something that has been important for me, keeping up with trends, dressing to impress it all just makes me feel and look better. Plus what girl doesn’t like clothes! When I was little my mom, brother and I had done photo shoots with Levis and looking back on the photos even though I was really little makes me want to start it again. Everyone tells me the fashion industry is hard, just like being a ballerina. One minute you’re in the next you’re out. Well, when I think about it fashion is all about risks anyways! I’d be risking my career to take risks! But when you want something so bad you’d do anything to make it happen. They say I will have to spend money to make money and it takes a long time to really make money off it. Even though money is something important it’s a matter of if it makes me happy or not. Fashion has also always connected me with my mom. I feel like partially because of fashion me and mom are really close. Surprisingly me and my mom have completely different styles. But she makes my dream so much clearer! She makes me step outside the box and in fashion design you can’t expect to make it far if you’re selling everything everyone already has! Last year we worked on a project called The Dream Job Project and I think that is what really made me see everything. I was a fashion designer for the project and I interviewed a lady who worked with fashion and she showed me what its like. I think fashion is something that makes me super happy and hopefully I get to pursue it when i’m older.

Window Poem
Big city.
Small girl.
You can only see half of what’s out there.
Lights on lights on lights.
The way you see it in photos.
The skyscrapers tower looking down on you
as you watch them from above.
No darkness
Even with your lights off
The big city still shines
And the small girl is still awake.
As the cars line up and down the highways.
The buildings and street lights light up the view
Its only once she closes her blinds.
She can finally sleep.
Big city.
My Name Journal Entry
Someones name, as original as a snowflake. Everyone has different names, different meanings to their names. No two the exact same. My name is Hannah
It means flower in Japanese. Being able to blossom like a flower. My name is like the sweet smell of candy and the soft touch of a blanket. Comforting, like when your mom says it softly while waking you up.
It mean grace in Hebrew. Graceful like the dancer i used to be. Pretty, like getting dressed up on a fancy night out in New York City. Like the perfume you throw into a small bag to carry around with you.
My initials being H.I.J as in part of the alphabet. My grandma dreamed my name. Waking up telling my mom thats what she must name me. She said the dream basically screamed to her.
I like my name, except people mistake and call me Anna. Or when people call my name referring to another girl name Hannah, and I turn around thinking it was for me. Its also short, like small waves crashing onto the shore. My name could be more rare, but I like when people give me nicknames, like Hannah Banana or Han.
Why I have my name makes sense to me. All the meanings of my name match me. I was meant to have this name and I’m glad Hannah is my name.
